Description
This is a blend of three images taken on the National Mall celebrating the Apollo 11 landing and man's first steps on the moon. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history when they left their foot prints embedded upon the surface of the moon on July 21, 1969. The National Air and Space Museum commissioned a video celebration of the event that occurred on the National Mall on the evenings of Friday July 19, 2019 and Saturday July 20, 2019. The Washington National Monument became a monumental projector screen as the Apollo Mission was documented on film and shown to thousands who came out to the mall to watch and celebrate.
