Description
This Conté Crayon drawing recently turned 35 years old. The subject depicts many of the subjects and the drawing style I used in my drawings in the early eighties. The location was a cafeteria at George Mason University where I often hung out after class when I was taking a post Studio Art Degree grad course in painting and courses related to education. So this drawing which I called "Self Portraits" was done as I was figuring out what I wanted to do in life, which I think I am still trying to figure out . This drawing won a best in drawing category in Vienna Arts Society (Virginia, USA) Tyson Corner Exhibit in 1982 and a prize of $50.00, a windfall for a starving artist/student.
This drawing has the honor of being featured in the Fine Art America Group:

So lovely, the highlights and shadows are meticulous...This creation is so artistically done. A delightful piece to look at! l/f
